The U.S. government official congratulated her on her victory in the elections and her upcoming swearing-in, reaffirming his country’s commitment to strengthening relations with Peru.

The Trump administration representative highlighted the importance of promoting security in Peru and across the region. 

Likewise, Landau underscored the Peruvian president-elect’s commitment to prioritizing public safety and her determination to address the issue in order to restore peace of mind to the Peruvian people.

In that regard, he emphasized that Peru will receive full support in the fight against crime and delinquency.

In turn, the president-elect highlighted her commitment to fostering an education system with a curriculum that prioritizes financial literacy alongside bilingual education.

Fujimori added that she will seek to implement artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline government processes, particularly in the healthcare sector, to reduce delays in medical appointments and provide faster care to the public.

In turn, Landau said the U.S. also welcomed the decision to retain Julio Velarde as Central Reserve Bank governor. 

Furthermore, he welcomed the appointment of the Cabinet members, saying it sends a positive signal for investment and the political and legal stability Peru needs.

Landau arrived at the venue in San Isidro district accompanied by a U.S. delegation that included U.S. Ambassador to Peru Bernie Navarro and Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade William Kimmitt.

The delegation also included Senior Advisor for Western Hemisphere Affairs Viviana Bovo, Treasury Department Counselor Erin Browne, and Will Herter, advisor to the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State.
