PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has thanked residents of Chikankata District for turning out “in thousands” to a UPND meeting, and urged them to vote for the party in the August 13, 2026 general elections.

Addressing the gathering, the President said government is seeking “more wisdom” to continue developing Zambia and pledged not to let the country down.

“We shall continue uplifting our Country day by day,” Hichilema said. “Zambia must continue moving forward and together we shall ensure that this is done.”

He called on citizens to vote for UPND from the presidency to local government, saying the party remains committed to national development.
