Rainfall has disrupted normal life in several areas of Uttarakhand. Continuous rain has created a risk of a major accident on the main Dehradun-Mussoorie highway. After receiving reports of road damage near a bend on the route, the administration has taken precautionary measures and closed the entire Dehradun-Mussoorie highway with immediate effect.

According to an order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Mussoorie, the movement of all types of vehicles on this route is prohibited until further notice, in the interest of public safety and the protection of life and property. The administration clarified that the road has sustained damage due to heavy rainfall, creating a potential for a major accident at any moment. Consequently, prioritizing safety above all else, transportation on the route has been completely halted.
