AKIPRESS.COM – An overnight drone attack on July 18 targeted Russia’s Tambov and Moscow regions, leaving seven people dead and over 50 injured.

In Kotovsk, Tambov region, drones carrying shrapnel struck a Wildberries warehouse, killing seven night-shift workers and injuring 25 others, despite air defenses downing 28 incoming drones.

Meanwhile, air defenses intercepted 48 drones over Moscow region, where falling debris ignited a oil depot in Noginsk, forcing the evacuation of a nearby maternity hospital and residential building.

An additional 24 people were injured in another drone strike on a Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal, Moscow region.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed responsibility for the operations, stating that long-range strikes successfully targeted two logistics facilities and an oil facility over 500 to 700 kilometers from the front lines, which he alleged were being used to supply sanctioned components for military drone and navigation production.
