AKIPRESS.COM – The delegation of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan, led by First Deputy Minister Sherzod Karimov, met with Director of the International Organization of La Francophonie Yann Librati in Nice, UzA reported.

The parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in education.

According to the document, the University of Francophonie will be engaged in professional development of 1,410 French language teachers in Uzbekistan by 2030. Every year, 300 teachers will participate in international educational programs.

In addition, 910 teachers will receive grants totaling 1.3 million euros, which will improve the quality of French language teaching and improve specialists’ professional level.

The parties also agreed to cooperate under the Allumer les étoiles program, which aims to improve teachers’ skills and attract foreign-language specialists to Uzbekistan.

The possibility of establishing a representative office of the University of Francophonie at the National Institute of Pedagogical Excellence named after A.Avloni was discussed during the negotiations. It is planned that the representative office will function as a regional center and improve the skills of French language teachers.

The agreements contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and France in education, as well as the introduction of international experience, which will improve the quality of French language teaching.
