Nationwide News understands the Digicel building in downtown Kingston is to be the home of the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority, NaRRA.

Agency head, Major General Antony Anderson and a team were seen departing the 10-storey building Monday morning.

It’s understood the visit was part of scoping works ahead of a planned move in.

NaRRA is a specialised government body established to coordinate post-hurricane recovery and long-term resilient infrastructure development following Hurricane Melissa.

It was was assented into law in May this year, following rousing debate in both Houses of Parliament.

Anderson’s appointment as NaRRA CEO took effect on June 1.

Prior to that, he served as Jamaica’s ambassador to the United States.

Ambassador Anderson said in a previous interview that building out the organisation is among the priorities for the first 1-hundred days.
