Projek Teduh continues to serve as one of BIBD’s key community initiatives, aimed at improving living conditions and strengthening socio-economic resilience among local families. The programme is implemented through close cooperation between the bank, government agencies, corporate partners, businesses and volunteers, reflecting a Whole-of-Nation Approach in addressing social and welfare challenges.
Funded through BIBD’s business zakat, the initiative demonstrates the bank’s commitment to channelling its resources towards meaningful social impact and community upliftment. Additional support from BIBD employees, corporate organisations and businesses further strengthens the programme’s efforts to promote sustainable social development.
BIBD said Projek Teduh embodies the values of compassion, volunteerism and solidarity while reflecting the principles of Maqasid Shariah and the bank’s ethos of being “Bruneian at Heart”.
Through the initiative, BIBD and its partners remain committed to supporting the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s efforts to foster inclusive and sustainable community development.
