Vertiv has officially opened its new manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia, strengthening its regional manufacturing capabilities to support the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-density digital infrastructure across Asia.
Located in Senai, Johor, the approximately 236,000-square-foot facility expands Vertiv’s manufacturing footprint, enabling the company to better serve customers across Southeast Asia, North Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
The site will provide regional manufacturing, engineering, logistics and deployment capabilities while enhancing supply chain resilience and accelerating the delivery of critical power, cooling and integrated infrastructure solutions.
Vertiv Chief Executive Officer Giordano (Gio) Albertazzi said Asia remains one of the fastest-growing regions for AI and digital infrastructure investment, making the expansion a key milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy.

“Expanding our manufacturing footprint in Malaysia aims to further enhance our ability to support customers with quality, speed, scale and resilience,” he said.
Albertazzi added that as AI infrastructure continues to evolve, customers require trusted partners capable of delivering power, cooling and infrastructure solutions at scale. The Johor facility will strengthen Vertiv’s ability to deploy critical digital infrastructure more efficiently while supporting long-term regional growth.
Speaking at the official opening, Invest Johor Chief Executive Officer Tuan Haji Natazha Hariss welcomed Vertiv’s investment, describing it as a reflection of Johor’s growing role as a strategic hub for digital infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.
He said the investment would create high-value employment opportunities, support local talent development and strengthen industry capabilities that will benefit the state over the long term.

The facility is expected to create up to 500 skilled jobs when fully operational in 2027. It will support end-to-end manufacturing, assembly and witness testing for advanced thermal management and power infrastructure, including liquid cooling systems and prefabricated power solutions designed for AI and traditional data centre applications.
Advanced automation, comprehensive testing processes and dedicated validation environments will help ensure quality, operational efficiency and compliance with global and ISO quality standards.

Vertiv Asia Vice President and General Manager Paul Churchill said the new facility is designed to strengthen regional collaboration and improve responsiveness for increasingly complex infrastructure deployments.
“As customers scale increasingly sophisticated AI and high-density environments, proximity, responsiveness and execution capabilities become increasingly important,” he said.
Churchill added that Johor’s strategic connectivity, expanding technology ecosystem and skilled workforce make it an ideal location to support customers’ evolving infrastructure requirements across the region.
