Prayagraj: In a broad daylight incident, two unidentified armed assailants shot at a fruit vendor identified as Vinod, a resident of Devghat area under the limits of Airport police station on Saturday morning. Admitted at a hospital, his condition was stated to be stable.Irked over the firing incident, locals blocked the vehicular movement for some time demanding the arrest of culprits. Upon being alerted, senior cops rushed the spot and carried out investigations. Property dispute was cited as prime reason behind the incident. Locals alleged that the armed assailants, also opened fire in the air to create panic. No arrest has been made so far.
