LSU football has landed a commitment from three-star cornerback Markez Davis, he announced on social media Monday.
Davis, a Class of 2027 commit, is the No. 745 player in the nation and a top-25 recruit in Louisiana, per the 247Sports Composite. He attends Northwest High in Opelousas.
He’d also garnered scholarship offers from Texas Tech, Iowa State, Houston and Mississippi State.
Davis is the third recruit LSU has added in the last two days, following three-star running back Brennan Lacey and four-star edge rusher KJ Green. The Tigers have seven commits in their 2027 class, three of whom are top-100 players in the nation.
Davis is the first cornerback and the second defensive player in the class. LSU’s five commits on offense include five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson, the No. 1 tight end in the nation, and four-star quarterback Peyton Houston, a top-10 quarterback in the country.
LSU signed three cornerbacks in its 2026 class, including four-star recruits Havon Finney and Dez Ellis and three-star prospect Emari Peterson.
