R&B crooner Brian McKnight has been put on blast by South Africans after he shared news of his upcoming concert in the country
The US entertainer, as well as groups All 4 One and SWV, will be performing across three cities in October.
BRIAN MCKNIGHT SHARES MESSAGE TO SA FANS
This week, news broke that three US R&B acts would be coming to South Africa – Brian McKnight and music groups, All 4 One and SWV.
The American artists will be performing on the following dates:
- 23 October – GrandWest, Cape Town
- 30, 31 October – SunBet Area, Pretoria
In a video post shared by South African concert promoters Remoakantse Holdings, Brian McKnight addressed South African fans directly.
He said, “I am super excited about returning to South Africa. I’m going to be performing all your favourite hits.
McKnight is known for songs like Back At One, Anytime and 6,8,12 amongst many others.
Tickets to the concert officially went on sale on Friday, 29 May, and are priced between R950 and R1650.
‘DEAD BEAT DAD’ ALLEGATIONS
On social media, many South Africans have brought up Brian McKnight’s controversial personal life, including allegations that he is a “deadbeat dad”.

The rumours emanate from allegations that he abandoned his biological children in favour of his new wife and stepchildren.
McKnight was accused of labelling his estranged children as “products of sin and evil”. He also named his youngest son after him, despite his
Reports claim that McKnight did not reconcile with one of his sons, Niko, who died of cancer last year.
He has also filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife and eldest son, Brianc McKnight Junior, who he has accused of starting a “smear campaign” against his name.
