Guntur: MLA Galla Madhavi said revolutionary changes have taken place in Andhra Pradesh’s education system after the coalition government came to power.
Addressing the media at her office here on Saturday, she said she fulfilled her promise of taking meritorious government school students who excelled in class 10 examinations on a Delhi educational tour.
The students, who travelled on May 20th, returned to Guntur on Friday night after visiting key national institutions and historical landmarks.
She said the tour was aimed at giving students first-hand exposure to the national capital, democratic institutions, governance, history, and India’s development. During the trip, students visited Red Fort, India Gate, Parliament Hall, and Rajya Sabha.
She felicitated students with framed photographs taken with Vice President C P Radhakrishnan.She further said programmes like the “Mega Parents-Teachers Meet” and “100 Days Action Plan” are strengthening education standards and encouraging parents to admit children in government institutions for quality education and better opportunities.
