The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has amended the regulations governing public procurement.
According to the resolution, the list of cases in which goods, works, and services may be procured through a special procedure without standard competitive mechanisms has been updated.
The special procurement procedure will now apply to ensuring the activities, protection, and security of the President of Kyrgyzstan, the Speaker of the Zhogorku Kenesh, the Cabinet Chairman, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, and the Chairman of the Constitutional Court.
The changes also apply to the procurement of goods and services necessary for events involving the heads of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts.
The amendments were made to Cabinet Resolution No. 489 of September 19, 2023 on the procedure for conducting public procurement.
The document will take effect in ten days.
