Man’s vision to help Little League kids in Albuquerque becomes reality

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — An Albuquerque native’s vision to make Little League baseball more accessible to kids in Albuquerque is becoming a reality.

The James S. Kunzman Foundation presented a $5,000 check to Westgate Little League during a special outdoor movie night Friday night near Tower Road and 86th Street.

The movie night brought together current and former players, families, community members and local coaches for a night centered on youth baseball, community pride and support in kids in what is described as “one of Albuquerque’s most overlooked communities.”

Heart of New Mexico covered Samuel Kunzman founding the foundation in Belen. This donation marks a big step for him and the foundation.
