The Gambia produced a brilliant performance to defeat Mali 3-0 and secure third place at the WAFU A Women’s U-20 Tournament.
Sarah Jarju continued her impressive form in the competition with a superb brace, while Teneng Marena also got on the scoresheet to complete a dominant victory for the Young Scorpions.
The result ensured The Gambia finished third on the overall table to claim the bronze medal after an encouraging campaign in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Senegal emerged as champions of the competition following their impressive run throughout the tournament.
