International Round Table dedicated to Khoja Ahmed Yasawi’s legacy held in Turkistan

AKIPRESS.COM – Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev addressed the International Round Table entitled “The Turkic World and the Heritage of Yasawi: Cultural Harmony at the Crossroads of Civilizations” in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, on May 14, the OTS press service reported.

The Secretary General emphasized the enduring spiritual and cultural significance of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi’s legacy for the Turkic world and beyond. He noted that Yasawi’s teachings on compassion, tolerance, justice, and harmony remain highly relevant in today’s world.

Referring to the upcoming Informal Summit of the OTS to be held in Turkistan, Ambassador Omuraliev stressed that cultural cooperation and the safeguarding of common heritage remain among the key priorities of the heads of state of the Turkic states.

The event brought together high-level government officials, heads of international organizations, scholars, cultural experts, and representatives from across the Turkic world.
