South Korea hosts US-China trade talks as Lee Jae Myung meets top officials

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung met separately on Wednesday with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifengas Seoul hosted high-level U.S.-China trade negotiations ahead of a summit between the two powers in Beijing. During the meetings, Lee emphasized the importance of stable U.S.-China relations, closer economic coordination and expanded cooperation in areas including critical minerals supply chains, foreign exchange markets and strategic investment, according to the Blue House.
