ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Clouds will clear quickly from west to east Tuesday evening as dry air moves back into New Mexico.
A new system will move into the Great Basin on Wednesday and increase winds across New Mexico during the day.
The forecast calls for breezy to windy conditions, especially across northern areas. The strongest winds will focus near the Four Corners region.
Overall wind speeds have trended a bit lower. Wednesday night, winds will stay elevated along and just east of the central mountain chain.
Some stronger gusts are possible near Las Vegas and Raton. The setup does not favor damaging mountain wave winds.
