MUSCAT – In a statement responding to discussions on social media, the hospital said the increase in emergency visits, combined with essential maintenance activities, has placed additional pressure on services. As a result, it may temporarily implement phased adjustments in bed capacity management to ensure patient safety and maintain service efficiency.
The hospital pointed out that these measures are part of continuous efforts to sustain facility performance and enhance the quality of healthcare services, while continuing to operate at full capacity and in line with the highest professional standards.
It stressed that patient safety and quality of care remain top priorities, adding that no compromises would be made in treatment standards or workflow despite current pressures.
The Royal Hospital also expressed appreciation for public feedback and community concern, noting that such engagement supports its ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery and patient experience in Oman.
