Two more dead bodies were recovered from the Bargi dam reservoir on Saturday (May 2, 2026), taking the death toll in the Jabalpur cruise tragedy to 11, even as rescuers and divers continue to search for remaining two victims, officials said.
According to officials, at least 200 personnel of the Indian Army, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Madhya Pradesh’s State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF), and local administration as well as local fishermen are involved in the search operation that has been going on for three days now, in an expanded area with the help of advanced equipment.
