AIADMK urges ECI to prevent unauthorised entry into counting centres

A day ahead of the scheduled counting of votes polled in the Assembly election held on April 23, the AIADMK on Sunday (May 3, 2026) petitioned election officials to prevent unauthorized entry into counting centres. There is a total of 62 counting centres set up across Tamil Nadu.

In a representation to the Chief Election Commissioner, the Chief Electoral Officer and the Special Observer, AIADMK functionary and Rajya Sabha MP I.S. Inbadurai flagged alleged “misuse of press passes to gain unauthorized entry into counting centres”.
