Family feuds within Telangana politics have erupted into an open conflict following the announcement of Kavitha’s new party. On April 25, Kavitha announced her party named ‘Telangana Rashtra Sena’ (TRS) at an event in Medchal, reviving the original party name founded by her father.
Kavitha, President of Telangana Jagruthi, aims to restore the party’s former identity and champion the cause of Telangana statehood, using the original flag and name. Her move comes amid ongoing tensions with the BRS leadership, which she has been striving to distance herself from.
In response, the BRS social media team issued a sharp, satirical remark. They posted images of counterfeit products mimicking well-known brands like Colgate and Bisleri, with the caption: “The Original is always the Original.” The post was seen as a indirect dig of Kavitha, asserting that BRS, under KCR, remains the authentic political force, and any attempt to use its name or legacy is merely a ‘fake’ imitation. The social media war has caused a stir within political circles and on social platforms.
