The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission has outlined a future plan for the youth. This plan pertains to upcoming examinations, for which proposed dates have been released regarding vacant posts in various departments across different disciplines.
The State Public Service Commission has released its highly anticipated examination calendar for the year 2026. This calendar announces the proposed dates for examinations to be conducted under various departments. A key highlight is that the Commission has issued a detailed schedule for the main examinations across different subjects, spanning from July to December 2026. This will provide significant relief to candidates, enabling them to formulate effective preparation strategies.
According to the released calendar, the Main Examination for the Pravakta (Lecturer) posts in Government Intermediate Colleges—under the Secondary Education Department—will be conducted in a phased manner across various subjects. While determining the subject-wise dates, the Commission has specifically decided to schedule these examinations on Sundays to ensure maximum candidate participation.
As per the examination calendar issued by the Public Service Commission, the Main Examination for the Uttarakhand Judicial Service (Civil Judge) 2023 is scheduled to take place from April 21 to April 24. Similarly, the dates for the PCS Main Examination 2025 have been set for April 27 to April 30, 2026. Furthermore, for the Government Intermediate College Examination 2025, the examination for the Pravakta post in Physics is proposed for May 9. Likewise, the examination for the Pravakta post in Civics will be held on May 10. Separately, on May 19, an examination is scheduled for the posts of Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer. Following this, on May 30, the examination for the Pravakta post in Hindi—under the Government Intermediate College Examination 2025—is proposed.
Subsequently, on May 31, the examination for the Pravakta post in History—under the Government Intermediate College Examination 2025—will be conducted. This will be followed by the examination for the Pravakta post in Agriculture on June 11. The next examination is proposed for July 5, which will be for the Pravakta post in Mathematics. Finally, on July 12, the examination for the Pravakta post in Biology will take place. Subsequently, on July 19, a screening examination will be conducted at the High Court for the posts of Assistant Officer, Typist, Librarian, and Translator.
As part of this schedule, the examination for the subject of English will be held on July 26, 2026. Following this, the examination for Chemistry is tentatively scheduled for August 23, 2026. The series of examinations will continue through the month of September, with the Commerce examination scheduled for September 20 and the Geography examination for September 27. In the interim, September 6 has been kept as a reserved date to accommodate any additional examinations or schedule adjustments, should the need arise.
A packed schedule of examinations has also been planned for the month of October. October 4 has once again been designated as a reserved date. Examinations for Economics, Sociology, and Sanskrit will be conducted on October 11, October 18, and October 23, respectively. Notably, the Sanskrit examination has been scheduled for a Friday, whereas the majority of the other examinations have been scheduled for Sundays.
Furthermore, the sequence of examinations will continue through November and December. The examination for Home Science is tentatively scheduled for November 29, 2026, while the examination for Art will be conducted on December 6, 2026. Thus, the Commission has presented a comprehensive blueprint for an examination process spanning approximately half a year.
A note issued by the Commission clarifies that all these dates are tentative and subject to change based on prevailing circumstances. In other words, modifications to the examination dates are possible due to administrative, technical, or other reasons. Consequently, candidates are advised to regularly monitor the Commission’s official website and notifications for updates.
Following the release of the examination calendar, a palpable sense of enthusiasm has been observed among the candidates. Those who have long been awaiting the examination dates have now received a clear direction. This calendar is considered to be of particular significance for candidates preparing for Lecturer positions.
