Telangana Minister Sridhar Babu met with a delegation from the U.S. National War College today (Thursday) to discuss potential collaborations and investment opportunities in Telangana. He invited American industrialists to explore sectors such as drones, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity, emphasising the availability of a skilled workforce through the ‘Young India Skill University’. The minister also highlighted streamlined approval processes via TG-iPASS, promising all necessary permits within 15 to 30 days. Telangana aims to establish a long-term strategic partnership with the United States and is keen to enhance cooperation across technology, research, and manufacturing sectors.
The aerospace industry in Telangana is experiencing remarkable growth, with an annual increase of 30 percent. The state’s exports are booming, with a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 103 percent. From rockets to satellites, products bearing the ‘Made in Telangana’ label are increasingly visible globally.
Major international corporations have expanded their operations in the state, which is now home to over 1,500 MSMEs. Hyderabad is recognised as a ‘Cost-Effective Aerospace City’ and has secured the ‘Best State for Aerospace’ award for five consecutive years. Telangana is rapidly establishing itself as a prominent global hub for aerospace and innovation.
