Prayagraj: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited online applications for recruitment to 3,003 posts under Selection Post Phase-14 in various ministries, departments and offices of central govt.Interested candidates can apply till May 4 while the last date for submission of application fees is May 5. The commission has also provided an opportunity for correction in application forms from May 11 to 13 (till 11 pm). The first phase of the computer-based examination is expected to be conducted in June.Out of the total vacancies, 1,534 posts are for the unreserved category, 667 for OBC, 346 for SC, 271 for EWS and 185 for ST candidates. Among the major posts, 235 are for medical attendants under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, for candidates aged between 18 and 25 years with a Class 10 qualification.Additionally, 107 posts of nursing officer are available in CGHS for candidates aged 18 to 30 years who have passed Class 12.The directorate general of health services has also announced 105 vacancies for ward attendants (male and female) at the Central Institute of Psychiatry for candidates aged 18 to 27 years with a Class 10 qualification. Meanwhile, the Survey of India under the ministry of science and technology has advertised 197 posts of surveyor for graduates aged between 18 and 30 years.In a related development, the SSC Central Region conducted the document verification process for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025 candidates at IIIT-Jhalwa. On the first day on Monday, 300 candidates were called in.Out of these, 220 candidates went for the ‘fixed’ option, confirming their allotted posts or departments, while 80 chose the ‘float’ option, keeping themselves eligible for possible upgradation in subsequent rounds under the sliding mechanism. Officials said the process aims to ensure transparency and optimal utilization of vacancies.
