Popular Westerly breakfast spot reopens after fire

WESTERLY, R.I. (WPRI) — A popular breakfast restaurant in Westerly reopened on Monday after a fire forced it to shut down more than a year ago.

The Cooked Goose on Watch Hill Road caught fire in January 2025.

“After a year of rebuilding, reflecting, and rising from the ashes, we are finally ready to welcome you back,” the restaurant posted on social media.

The business has previously served celebrities like Taylor Swift over the years.

According to their website, breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
