Rainbow Wahine cool down UCSB for second straight win

Hawaii forward Saniyah Neverson shoots the ball around UC Santa Barbara forward Olivia Bradley tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Keiara Curtis poured in a career-high 19 points and added eight rebounds, four assists and three steals to help the Hawaii women’s basketball team defeat UC Santa Barbara 67-50 tonight at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

A crowd of 940 watched Hawaii (8-9, 2-5 Big West) win its second home game in three days.

Saniyah Neverson added 15 points and Imani Perez chipped in six points, seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks for the Rainbow Wahine.

Olivia Bradley scored a team-high 15 points for the Gauchos (13-3, 5-2), who had won 12 of their previous 13 games.

Hawaii hits the road next to play at Cal State Bakersfield and at Cal State Northridge next week.
