Fall River man charged after allegedly dumping in reservoir

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said a man would face criminal charges after allegedly dumping in Watuppa Pond on Dec. 1.

Police said that 52-year-old Daryl Parrent was allegedly caught on surveillance bringing patio furniture and a pool liner, items that were found dumped at the pond, to the site.

Police said that Watuppa Pond is a naturally occurring reservoir that supplies drinking water to the city and surrounding communities.

The department said that anyone who sees illegal dumping should contact 508-676-8511 or submit an anonymous tip by calling 508-672-TIPS (8477).
