FAA issues ground delay, AUS flights impacted

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Sunday, the Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground delay for arrivals into the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

According to AUS, the delay began at 9 a.m. and would last until 1 p.m. This impacts flights arriving at AUS.

“At this time, departing flights are not affected,” AUS said.

KXAN reached out to the Austin airport regarding the ground delay; however, AUS did not provide a reason for what was causing the impacts.

The airport recommended that travelers keep an eye on flight statuses and speak with airlines for more information. Get real-time information from the FAA here.

“When you click into the advisory, it will give you details, including delay times (in minutes) and impacting conditions,” AUS said.
