Passenger shot, killed inside vehicle in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a passenger was shot and killed inside a vehicle.

Interim Jackson Police Chief and Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said the victim was pronounced deceased in the 2800 block of Ridgeland Drive around 2:00 a.m. on October 26, 2025. Jones said the unidentified man was taken to the location by the driver.

Juvenile arrested for auto burglaries during Puckett High football game

According to Jones, the driver was arrested on unrelated charges.

The sheriff said Jackson police and Hinds County deputies are investigating the shooting. No suspect information has been released.
