Mississippi jury convicts 'Viking' of child fondling

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A DeSoto County jury has found Viking Chad Vanstory guilty of fondling a 9-year-old boy following a two-day trial, according to the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office.

Vanstory is a self-proclaimed “Viking” and member of the Iron Horsemen motorcycle gang, according to the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office.

This case was investigated by the Olive Branch Police Department and Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center.

“Thanks to the courage of the victim, the dedicated work of the Olive Branch Police Department, the partnership of Healing Hearts, we were able to hold this gang member accountable for his horrific crimes,” said Assistant District Gordon Shaw. “Know this: predators who harm children in DeSoto County will trade their freedom for a metal bunk in a freezing cell and prison food.“

Vanstory’s sentencing is set for Oct. 13.
