NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A body was found Tuesday morning on the White River northeast of Noblesville, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office tells News 8.
Emergency crews from the Cicero and Noblesville fire departments and the sheriff’s office were called when someone found a man’s body in the river. They were sent just after 11:35 a.m. Tuesday to the 11000 block of East 206th Street, which is between Riverwood Avenue and State Road 37. A bridge crosses the river in that area.
Capt. Scott Goff of the sheriff’s office said in a news release issued Tuesday afternoon that the body was found south of the bridge. “The exact cause of death has not been confirmed, and a subsequent autopsy will provide more information. A presumptive identification of the deceased subject has been made,” the release said.
Anyone with information was asked to call 317-776-5848.
The rural area with some homes is about a 40-minute drive northeast of downtown Indianapolis.
The body found Tuesday was the third collected from Indianapolis-area waterways in the past two days.
