ZIMBABWE Cricket on Thursday named the Chevrons’ squad to compete at the 2026 T20 World Cup which kicks off next month.
The tournament will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from March 7 to 8.
The Chevrons are marking their return at the global tournament after missing the last edition held in 2024.
At the event, Zimbabwe is in Group B together with Oman, Sri-Lanka, Ireland and Australia.
Zimbabwe’s squad is mix of old and young players with all-rounder Sikandar Raza leading as team captain.
Raza is one of the senior players in team Zimbabwe, with 40-year-old Brandon Taylor being the oldest.
The Chevrons’ list of young players Brian Bennet, Tinotenda Maphosa and Tadiwanashe Marumani, who will both mark their T20 World Cup debut.
Zimbabwe will kick off its World Cup campaign against Oman before playing Australia, Ireland and Sri Lanka.
Top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 8, a set target for the Chevrons who are seeking revival.
