Scottland FC have parted ways with head coach Tonderai Ndiraya, just four days after the club’s title coronation in Gweru.
Ndiraya, who joined the champions at the start of the season, made history by becoming the first local coach to win back-to-back league titles with two different teams.
In a statement, Scottland FC said the Ndiraya’s contract which is set to expire at the end of the season will not be renewed following a mutual agreement.
“Scottland Football Club wishes to confirm that the club and head coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, have reached a mutual agreement not to renew his contract, which concludes at the end of this season.
“We would like to express our sincere appreciation for his commitment, professionalism, and service during his time with the club.
“His contribution and dedication to the team have been highly valued, and we extend our gratitude for the role he has played in the growth and development of our players.
“He led Scottland to a historic league title in his debut Premier Soccer League season, earning us a ticket to the CAF Champions League,” the club said.
Former Warriors coach Michael Nees and Norman Mapeza are reportedly among the candidates being considered to take over from Ndiraya.
