FC Platinum have bolstered their squad with the signing of midfielder Mason Mushore, who joins the Zimbabwean giants after parting ways with South African Premiership side AmaZulu.
Mushore’s stay at AmaZulu lasted just six months before the two parties agreed to go their separate ways, paving the way for his return to Zimbabwe.
The move marks a special reunion for the midfielder, who will once again play alongside his brother, McKinnon, at FC Platinum. It also sees him reunite with head coach Joel Lupahla, under whom he previously worked.
FC Platinum will be hoping Mushore’s arrival adds quality and experience to the squad as they strengthen their team for the remainder of the season.
His signing is one of the club’s key issues during the mid-season transfer window as the Zvishavane-based side looks to remain competitive in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, after a poor first round campaign.
Although Pure Platinum play has added Mushore and two other new players, the team lost key defender Nickson Nyasulu to Scottland and Precious Phiri whom they cleared to join CAPS United as a free agent.
