Immigration authorities have apprehended a 44-year-old Zambian national accused of publishing hate speech and insults against the President and the Presidency on social media.

The suspect has been identified as Misheck Mulubwa, who operates a TikTok account under the name “Brotherman” with the handle @KabongoKitungu5.

In a statement issued in Lusaka on Sunday, Department of Immigration Chief Public Relations Officer, Namati Nshinka said Mulubwa was arrested in Kasumbalesa on September 12, 2026.

Nshinka said the arrest was carried out at approximately 15:30 hours in a coordinated operation involving other Defence and Security Wings.

He stated that the operation targeted Mulubwa over content he allegedly posted online.
