PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema told residents of Sinazongwe in Southern Province that the district will continue to receive a fair share of national development, citing progress on water, roads, mining and social programs.

Hichilema thanked thousands who attended a meeting in the district.

“Thank you very much nobana Zongwe. Nobana Maamba. Nobana Mweemba for coming to our meeting in thousands today,” he said.

The President said his government is “working round the clock to lower the cost of living across our Country.” He added that challenges of water, roads and other infrastructure “are being handled head-on by our Government.”

Hichilema said no province or district would be left behind, pointing to the equal distribution of the Constituency Development Fund, free education, cash-for-work and social cash transfer programs as evidence.

“Sinazongwe is also a mining giant and therefore, we shall continue exploring more opportunities for all Zambians in this part of our Country,” he said.

He urged voters to support the United Party for National Development in the Aug. 13 general election.

“This is why we call on all of you to vote for the UPND this August,” he said. “Ba Zongwe, Ba Maamba, Ba Mweemba, Twalumba lokko!”

“This was part of our message to wonderful people of Sinazongwe today. May God Bless Zambia,” he added.
