THE Energy Regulation Board has maintained pump prices for petroleum products for September 2026.

In a statement issued Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, ERB Board Chairperson James Banda said international oil prices for petrol, diesel, kerosene and Jet A-1 came under upward pressure due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and exchange rate movements.

Despite that, the board kept prices unchanged through continued mitigation using the suspension of excise duty and zero rating of value-added tax, plus the regulatory price smoothing mechanism.

The national uniform pump prices per litre remain:

– *Petrol*: K25.29

– *Diesel*: K26.86

– *Kerosene*: K27.02

– *Jet A-1*: K28.71

Banda said the current prices will remain in force until the next review.
