According to the traffic police division under the provincial Department of Public Security, the driver, identified as Nguyen Thanh T., was penalized for traveling against traffic on a road marked with no-entry signs.

The violation came to light after traffic police monitoring online platforms discovered a video clip posted by a resident.

The footage, captured by a car’s dashboard camera, showed a truck traveling against the flow of traffic in Chau Thanh Commune at around 3:00 pm on April 28.

Following the discovery of the video, officers launched an investigation, identified the driver, and summoned him for questioning.

Local police have called on the public to actively report traffic violations by submitting images, videos, and relevant information to help officers promptly detect and strictly penalize offenders in accordance with the law.
