In images released Monday, Liu showcased two of Hoa’s designs. One is a metallic mermaid-style gown featuring a fitted corset bodice, draping techniques, and cut-out details at the waist and bust. The other, from Hoa’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection, features intricate hand embellishments that reportedly took hundreds of hours to complete. Set on sheer fabric, the design incorporates symmetrical wing motifs. The halter-neck gown is paired with a fur coat, adding to the actress’s striking look.

Liu styled both outfits with loose, natural hair, smoky eye makeup, and peach-pink lipstick.
Hoa said Liu’s team contacted him in January to prepare outfits for the campaign. The collaboration proceeded smoothly, with both dresses fitting the actress perfectly.
“To be chosen by a top star in China for a major project is both exciting and surprising,” Hoa said. “I had been informed beforehand that Liu had chosen my designs for the campaign, but I did not know exactly when it would be announced. So when the photos were released today, I felt a surge of joy. It motivates me and my team to keep improving every day.”
