The event, part of the ‘Peaceful Fatherland’ gala, was among a series of activities marking the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Security Force (July 12, 1946–2026).
Held along the eastern bank of the Han River near the iconic Rong (Dragon) Bridge, the gala extended onto the river itself.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the Da Nang administration, the event was attended by chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Sy Thanh, Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang, along with representatives of various agencies and local authorities.

Spectators were particularly impressed by martial arts displays, simulated arrest operations, and realistic tactical scenarios that resembled scenes from an action movie.
Officers executed swift takedowns and coordinated strikes, demonstrating a blend of combat proficiency and professional discipline.
Staged pursuit sequences moved seamlessly from the Han River to the main stands, maintaining a continuous flow of high-intensity action that kept the audience engaged throughout the night.
One of the highlights was a rope descent from the Dragon Bridge to the Han River, followed by high-speed chases involving patrol boats in a simulated river operation that drew loud applause from the crowd.
Among the audience was Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung, a tourist from Hanoi, who said she was impressed by the scale of the event.
“I was struck by how grand and well-organized the program was, especially the martial arts performances and highly realistic arrest demonstrations,” she said.
“Watching it live gave me a deeper appreciation of the challenges and professionalism of the police force.”
The gala also featured a large-scale parade of police and security units, students, and local residents crossing the Dragon Bridge, forming a vivid display of unity and underscoring the close bond between the public and security forces.
