The Vanuatu Under-19 women’s football team will fly out on Sunday to compete in the OFC Women’s Under-19 Championship in Tahiti, kicking off on September 21 and running until October 4.

Head coach Joel Rarua told VBTC Sports the girls are in strong form after five months of intense preparation at the VFF Freshwater Stadium. He said the team is eager to carry Vanuatu’s flag with pride at the regional level.

Vanuatu has been drawn in Group B alongside powerhouses New Zealand, New Caledonia, and host nation Tahiti. Their first match will be against New Caledonia on September 22, followed by Tahiti on September 25, before facing New Zealand in their final group-stage clash.
