Just one week after the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF) and its partners officially opened the building, police discovered an inappropriate drawing on the wall of the Malapoa Police Post, which does not reflect the community’s appreciation for policing work.
According to the VPF writing or drawing on property that does not belong to you is against the law and is an offence under the Penal Code Act CAP 135, Section 133, which police can deal with.
VPF is calling on all Malapoa community leaders to help take good care of the police post and to assist in identifying whoever drew the inappropriate image on the wall of the Malapoa Police Post.
The Malapoa Police Post is an achievement for the Vanuatu Police Force and a long-standing request from the Malapoa community, allowing police officers and the Community Safety Team (CST) to use the facility to provide security for property and the lives of people in the Malapoa community.
