Shepherds United Football Club are the champions of the PVFA First Division Opening Knockout, after defeating a strong Tewalu FC side 3-0 yesterday afternoon at Port Vila Municipal Stadium.

The White and Black boys sealed the victory in front of cheering fans, marking a strong start to their preparations for the 2025–2026 Championship season.

As part of the celebrations, Member of Parliament for Port Vila Constituency, Jackson Lessa, who attended the match, presented VT50,000 cash to Shepherds United FC in recognition of their achievement.

The Opening Knockout forms an important build-up ahead of the official kick-off of the new season in League 1.
