The Gideons Futsal team is preparing to represent Vanuatu at the upcoming OFC Futsal Men’s Nations Cup 2025, scheduled to take place next month in Suva, Fiji.
National head coach Tito Quai will lead the squad, assisted by Terry Malapa. A 15-man team has already been confirmed, with Michelle Coulon named as captain.
Speaking to VBTC Sports, Coach Quai said training is focused on preparing the team for the challenge ahead, with an eye on future qualification for the Futsal World Cup.
Five countries will compete in the tournament: New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, and Tuvalu. Vanuatu faces tough matches against regional powerhouses New Zealand, Solomon Islands, and Fiji.
The four-day tournament will run from 20 to 24 September at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, Fiji.
