The Director General of the Ministry of Education and Training, Bergmans Iati, and the Director General of the Ministry of Justice, Youth and Community Services, Cherol Ala, have returned to their original positions.

In August 2025, the two senior officials were temporarily exchanged, with DG Iati assigned to oversee the Ministry of Justice, Youth and Community Services, while DG Ala took charge of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The arrangement lasted for approximately three months, during which both Directors General oversaw the operations of their respective assigned ministries.

VBTC News understands that the temporary transfers were implemented to strengthen government operations, accountability, and service delivery across government institutions.

While the Public Service Commission is yet to comment to the media on their return, both Directors General are now in their second week back at their original ministries.
