Capital of Uzbekistan’s Banks Rises to 125.3 Trillion Soums, Annual Growth at 20%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 July 2025, the total capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan reached 125.29 trillion soums, according to data from the Central Bank.

Compared to the same date last year, the banking system’s capital grew by 20%.

Banks with state participation accumulated 77.21 trillion soums in capital, accounting for 62% of the total. Private banks held 48.08 trillion soums, or 38%.

Among state-owned banks, UzNatsBank remains the leader in terms of capital with 19.33 trillion soums, followed by Agrobank with 13.71 trillion soums and UzPromStroyBank with 10.81 trillion soums. Other notable figures include Asaka Bank with 8.06 trillion soums and People’s Bank with 8.85 trillion soums.

Among private banks, the largest capital is held by Ipoteka Bank — 6.94 trillion soums, Hamkorbank — 5.97 trillion soums, and Kapitalbank — 5.83 trillion soums. Ipak Yuli Bank (4.07 trillion soums) and Orient Finans Bank (3.59 trillion soums) also show significant volumes.

The smallest capital in the market is recorded by Eurasian Bank with 109 billion soums, Poitakht Bank with 186 billion soums, and Yangi Bank with 260 billion soums.

Among state-owned banks, the lowest capital levels are seen in Turonbank (1.93 trillion soums), Aloqabank (3.80 trillion soums), and the Business Development Bank (5.08 trillion soums).
