Your guide to Delaware’s early voting, plus how the counties compared in 2024

Sites are open Oct. 22 to Nov. 1. Closed Sun., Oct. 25.

DOVER, Del. — Early voting for the Nov. 3 general election begins Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026. You can vote at any early voting site in your county. See the early voting sites below.

Many Delawareans vote early. About 4 in 10 Delaware voters cast their ballots early in the 2024 general election (209,516 early voters out of 518,330 people who voted), and Sussex County led the state.

How the counties compared: 2024 vs. 2026

Sussex stood out. It had about the same number of early voters as New Castle County, roughly 90,000 to 83,000, even though New Castle had more than twice as many registered voters. In Sussex, 43% of all registered voters voted early, compared with 19% in New Castle – see Table 1.

Sussex is also growing. Every county had more registered voters on Oct. 1, 2026, than on Nov. 1, 2024, and Sussex added the most, about 12,000 – see Table 2.
