Wyoming Leaders Back Operation Epic Fury Against Iran. Do You?

As the U.S. strikes against Iran continue, members of Congress are rapidly being forced to take a stand on the military action against Iran.

The Wyoming congressional delegation so far has been supportive of ”Operation Epic Fury.”

Wyoming Senator John Barrasso has left no doubt where he stands. On the floor of the Senate this week, Barrasso said “Operation Epic Fury was President Trump’s commitment to protect our nation. Today, Ayatollah Khamenei is dead. His senior leadership team is dead. His reign of terror is over. Iran’s vast missile arsenal is being dismantled. Its nuclear program has been demolished. Its tentacles of terror are being severed. America is safer. Israel is safer. The Middle East is safer. The world is safer. This is American peace through strength.”

Rep. Harriet Hageman also issued a statement recently, which read in part “Tehran’s jihadist government is finally faced with the reckoning for hundreds of American casualties killed at the hands of Iran’s savage leadership. Iran’s history of killing American troops, supporting terrorist networks, and refusal to cooperate in good-faith diplomacy made their nuclear-arms campaign a crusade that must be stopped.”

Sen. Cynthia Lummis joined Barrasso on Wednesday in voting against a resolution calling for President Trump to get congressional authorization for the war. Lummis has, however, spoken out against using American ground troops against Iran.

If the war continues for several weeks or months, congress is likely to once again be called up to vote on legislation related to the military strikes.

By now the arguments for and against the strikes are well known, so we won’t rehash them here. But what we would like to know is whether you support “Operation Epic Fury” as things currently stand?
