VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – Vicksburg police announced a woman was arrested for shooting her boyfriend.
The incident occurred in the 100 block of Athens Avenue on September 12, 2025.
Jackson police detain suspect in fatal stabbing
When officers arrived at the scene, investigators said Lash Rogers, 47, had an apparent gunshot wound. He reported he had been shot by his girlfriend, 41-year-old April Lane.
Police said Lane was arrested at the scene, and Rogers was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson for treatment.

On September 15, 2025, Lane made her initial appearance in court on the charge of domestic violence aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $60,000.
